Anon, politics isn't the issue for me. Good science is. Most of the AGW science has alot of gaping holes in it. Bad math, inaccurate statistics, inaccurate measuring instruments, bold faced lies (just look at the "hockey stick" temperature graph or Al Gore's computer generated ice field picture stolen from The Day After Tomorrow), all coming from the global warmists. Every citation or link I contribute here comes from a recognized and verifiable source. Some of the links are opinions, but we have the person's name who is making the opinion and his credentials. We can judge whether to agree with that person or not. The AGW crowd doesn't say this is their belief, they say this is fact, even in the face of contradictory evidence. I believe AGW is false because weather patterns are cyclical, which you can confirm checking the historical record. We can't predict weather patterns accurately for two days from now, how can we say what the weather will be like in 50 years?

you are all really smart...too smart for me....and everyone else in this world. have fun patting each other on the backs, etc.it been a hoot...i know you'll pollute! ;) good luck on the war on terror too! i hear that's working as well as your hoax propaganda.

13 May : 21:49
Thank you Admin, we have people like the previous poster who just don't look at the facts. They don't look at the history of how it hasn't gotten warmer, they don't look at the facts that the same liberals who moan about global warming now were moaning about global cooling in the 70s. Just because facts show otherwise liberals must go on attack about something else because all they have are their spoon fed BS opinions from PMSNBC and CNN. They never have complete fact to back it up, they never use complete models, they never use complete sets of numbers. The oceans and that massive ball of fire in the sky called the sun has no bearing on the climate according to them only the humans on the planet that release hardly any percentage of CO2.
Admin
13 May : 21:12
Here is a small teaser of from an upcoming article covering a manuscript by an esteemed climate researcher. We'll be the first to release it. We'll be dribbling out bits and pieces over the next week.So if CO2 is causing global warming can someone tell us why we had such a dramatic temperature reduction from 1940-1977 ?

If CO2 is causing global warming, and is admittedly rising in part due to man, why have temperatures been dropping the past 10 years?
Anon and correct
13 May : 20:27
I'm sorry....you're RIGHT. my thermometer must've been lying these past summers. also, the seasons must be lying since they aren't beginning or ending when they should be. Damn seasons! I guess everything is the bizarro world for you. UP is DOWN, CO2 emissions are down, temps are low all because you say so...Just curious...are you in the 28% that supports our president and his administration? since your in the minority on thinking record numbers of CO2 emissions affect nothing, you might as well be consistent in supporting a failed president and war.
Anonymous and Right
13 May : 20:12
Technology? That is why we can change the climate? Do you have a weather machine, can you make it snow tomorrow, or hail tomorrow for me? The planet has been around for 4.5 billion years and has been a lot warmer and a lot colder. So there is no way natural variation could be taking place like it has for over 4 billion years! You do realize that humans breathe out CO2. You do realize that our "technology" produces a very very very small percentage of all CO2 in the world. So no nobody is throwing out the technology angle. However, alarmists say that CO2 is the reason for global warming and you refuse to look at those facts. Also why has it not gotten warmer in the past 10 years? Hasn't technology gotten better, aren't we blasting out more CO2? You my friend are not using "common sense".
Anon and correct
13 May : 19:03
To be conservative does mean to throw out all reason. Technology is what you choose to close your eyes to in this whole debate....and its technology we are using to have this debate. It’s right under your fingers. You just gotta move your hands away to see it."I offer nothing more than simple facts, plain arguments, and common sense . . ." (Thomas Payne "Common Sense" 1776)
Anon and correct
13 May : 19:02
you guys might want to consider, for a second, that because you’re in the minority not thinking that technology is a major role in global warming, it may actually mean that YOU are the ones thinking illogically. ANON BUT not RIGHT says we've only been affecting the climate for 100-200 years tops. he is dumbfounded how we could affect anything in such a short amount of time. dude...TECHNOLOGY is the variable here. it's 78 rpm to 33 1/3 rpm. it's VCRs to DVRs. everything happens logarithmically faster with technology....even R.Danneskjöld understands that humans have greater capacity for existence in 2008 when compared to a half century ago.
from what i recall, the A-Bomb created change rather quickly and we've come a long way in terms of perfecting destruction since then.
anonymous oregonian high sch
13 May : 15:23
yea.. it doesnt take much to have an open mind.. just observing price differentials in "eco-friendly" devices is rediculously manipulated.. thats what really interested me into researching more about the science behind it. it really isnt surprising all the candidates believe global warming.. i mean they are going after majorities more so than the few who think outside of what has been shoved down our throats the last decade.
Denny
13 May : 14:59
Anonymous but Right,You are right, it should not be Political. There are People out there do not have a Nickle of Common Sense...We have only a Hundred and Thirty Nine Years of actual Temperature Recordings. Until the last 50 years, what was the Accuracy of these??? Now We have Super Computers to do the Work. Computers, as We All know, are dumb. They are only as accurate as what info has been given...As Complex as this Earth is..I am sure a few things are missing going in. Man cannot even Predict the Weather accurately after 3days in advance...How can one predict Global Warming 30 years in the Future??? Man hasn't the Resources intellectually to do this!!!!
Denny
13 May : 14:48
Oregonian,Hang in there...You are in a State where Liberals preside! Green is their favorite color...I am not saying Green isn't a bad color but IT SHOULD NOT BE THE ONLY COLOR. Teachers, of all People, should be neutral and be able to show both sides to the Students. It is also a Problem in Our Universities....Let Her Laugh Oregonian...in time She will have the last!
Anonymous but Right
13 May : 14:21
Oregon, nice job going against what is popular in your state and standing up for what is right. I applaud you. McCain put some more salt in the wounds he has made with conservatives yesterday by preaching global warming to the global warming followers in oregon. Stay strong and use all the resources on this site to write an essay your teacher cannot refute.

13 May : 14:16
I'm doing a sr essay on the global warming hoax and its really funny living in oregon because ALMOST EVERY SINGLE PERSON BELIEVES IN GLOBAL WARMING!! Its like an accepted Law. My teacher actually laughed at me when he saw my outline and research subject.. do people torrent the newer ebooks on global warming?
Anonymous
13 May : 12:33
Here's a good article about how the effects of bad policy decisions are blamed on global warming.
Anonymous but Right
13 May : 11:19
Global Warming shouldn't be political it should be common sense that it isn't happening. If people would actually look at the facts and think logically they would see that there is no way we can cause a change in climate. This planet has been around for what 4.5 billion years and we have been industrious for what 100-200 years tops and we think we can change the climate. "In the 70s it was global cooling, in the 90s and early 00s it was global warming, now it is climate change, yea its called the weather."
Denny
13 May : 10:44
I was just told the other day by My Liberal Friend that Global Warming wasn't Political! Uhm...maybe she ought to look at Our Chatbox!!! LOL!@
Denny

Jonny5Liberials take the only position of Socialism! They do not believe that FREE People can Govern themselves. The Government can do things better than the Private Sector! As you can see as time moves on in this Country, more and more Freedoms are taken away....Especially Freedom to choose, as a personal choice, whether its good or bad for one's self...The Problem today Jonny is NO ONE wants to get involved!! Simple as that. Let the other Guy do it....Until that changes, We are going down the slippery Slope of Life...
Jonny5
13 May : 10:18
Doesnt Liberal mean free markets, freedom of choice, individual rights and the such like? shouldnt a liberal be opposed the decrease choice and decrease in freedom that carbon taxes and other regulations impose. how does a carbon tax help redistribute wealth, increase economic growth on even help the poor find jobs, these issue are far more important than half a degree of warmer every hundred years (or whatever the figure is) that may or may or may not be caused by humans.

Joke of the Day
Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and John McCain are on a cruise when the ship sinks.
As luck would have it all three end up in the same row boat together. Of course they start to argue over who will take charge.
Hillary claims she was in charge of things during White Water and she navigated that almost unscathed. So she feels that she is the most qualified.
Obama says he is all about “change” and since they've changed from a ship to a row boat he is the most qualified.
John McCain claims that he was a military officer and flew planes, often over water, decades ago so he should be in charge.
Regretfully they end up in a big fight and the row boat flips over and sinks in the middle of the ocean with sharks all around. There is no chance of survival.
So who is the winner in the November election?

With 1.5 terabytes of disk space and 15 terabytes of transfer per month the service is also an excellent value at $6.95 per month (this not an introductory price, its their everyday low rate!)

Deadliest Decade Ever For Tornadoes
We're sorry, you thought it was the current decade? Far from it. Even with the huge increases in U.S. population the deadliest decade was the 1930's, or possibly even earlier. Not only do the statistics show there were more deaths but there were more F3-F5 (strong) tornadoes as well.

Science Now Reports The Earth Is Cooling, Will Man Be Blamed For This As Well?
Just a few months ago climate scientists were predicting record warming for 2008. But now NASA and several university studies show that the earth is cooling and that we have at least 20 years, and perhaps as much as 30 years, of colder than normal temperatures ahead of us. So where were the computer models on that one? The "Earth has a fever" crowd is surely gearing up to blame man-made global warming for cooling as well.

Climate Change Responsible For The Death Of Large Mammals
It's true, we hate to admit but a new peer reviewed study proves it. Never let it be said that we can't be convinced by good science. Global Warming has been responsible for killing some of the world's largest mammals. These majestic beasts are gone forever and their deaths have a lot to say about our future.

What`s Up With Dust? Do We Now Have Proof That Third World Countries Are The Cause Of Global Warming?
This subject gets little mention but the correlation is clear, for over 450 million years when natural dust levels were at their lowest, temperatures were at their highest. And vica-versa. A recent peer reviewed study backs up the assertion that dust and black carbon levels have a lot to do with climate change. The study, appearing in the Nature Geoscience journal, also shows that poorer countries contribute far more of the powerful global warming black carbon than richer countries. Since man is only responsible for about 3% of the CO2 released in to the atmosphere black carbon may be the primary anthropogenic source of global warming.
